SH Credits

When you sign up for an account at SiteHoppin.com, you can earn SiteHoppin (SH) Credits to buy "hopps" for your site.

How It Works

Everytime you "Site Hopp" to a new site, (meaning you press that SiteHoppin' button on the upper-left corner of your browser) you earn 1 SH Credit.

Everytime you "Rate" a site, (meaning you rate a site with the SiteHoppin' toolbar), you earn 5 SH Credits.

For every 10 SH Credits you earn, you can use them for 1 hopp to your site. (meaning you will get 1 unique visitor to your site)

You can also get SiteHoppin Widgets for your blog, MySpace, or any other website. (These give you 50 SH Credits for every unique visitor that clicks through the widget!)

Earning SH Credits

• 1 Hopp = 1 SH Credit
• 1 Rating = 5 SH Credits
• 1 Tagging or Comments using our "Tag" function = 20 SH Credits
• 1 New Site Submission = 30 SH Credits
• 1 Click from your site to SiteHoppin through the SiteHoppin Widgets = 10 SH Credits

Using SH Credits

• 10 SH Credits = 1 Hop (1 unique visitor) to your site randomly selected from our SiteHoppin Algorithm.

What is a Hopp?

Hop is when someone "hopps" to your site within SiteHoppin' Browser.

Basically, if the user is logged in, they can only "hopp" to your site once a day. (These are unique visitors to your site.)

If the user is not logged in, they can only "hopp" to your site once everytime they re-start their browser.

We use "session-cookies", which are cookies that are used to remember your Hopp URLs so you don't get "double-hits" from the same user. (These are "unique" visitors to your site so long as someone doesn't exit their browser and restarts it.)

How do I check how much SH Credits I have or how many hops I have received for my site?

Simply, go click on your username at the upper-right corner of your browser as seen here to go to your user page:

How do I setup my SiteHoppin Advertising?

1. Set your Hop Url to your any Url you want hopped. (Now, the Url must already exist on the SiteHoppin database. If it doesn’t, simply go submit your Url here first.)

2. Turn “On” your Hop Status.

3. Watch as our system randomly selects one of users’ hops and hops to your site.

4. You can check the number of SH Credits you earned and hops you’ve received on your user page.

5. 10 SH Credits are debited from your account for each hop you receive. So below, I used 8,880 SH Credits to receive 888 random hops from SiteHoppin.com.
