Beer Stocks FAQ
Why are you doing this?
We are trying to keep the site going without Venture Capital Funding. The downside to Venture Capital Funding is that investors have a say in the direction or how the company should be run, we don't want that.
Traditionally, companies went through venture captial, then went public if the company was wildly profitable and successful.
Instead of going through the traditional route, we have intertwined Venture Capital and IPOs.
Now, any internet user can invest in the "web traffic growth" of our company, trade the Beer Stocks just like the New York stock exchange.
By doing so, we've completed eliminated the influential middleman, which are Venture Capitalists, and all those legal fees required in getting the company IPO.
We have made a our own Stock Market called, Internet User Venture Capital, basically Venture Capital invested by internet users.
- There are buyers and sellers and also Market price for the Beer Stocks.
- We control the market price but once you are an owner of Beer Stocks, you can sell them however freely you like at any price at our Beer Stock Market.
- Instead of giving control to the few wealthy investors, we've created a whole new system where any internet user can buy into our company regardless of where they live.
Let's face it. Most internet start-ups cannot really be successful unless they are luck or have venture capital backing.
We are trying to do the same thing without the funds that could ruin our site. We are trying to change the current capitalism hidden agenda of "Rich get Richer~" and "Poor get Poorer~".
Think about it, isn't it time that the power of the people, power of the internet started changing the world?
If don't believe us, you don't have to invest, at least tell your friends about it. That's all we are asking.
How can I make money from it?
There are many ways to make money from buying our Beer Stocks at our initial offering price of $1 per non-vowels and $10 per vowels.
- You can keep your Beer Stocks until they rise in value through our web traffic growth. The Beer Stocks automatically come loaded with content from Google, Yahoo, YouTube, etc...etc... as you can see an example here.
- You can immediately start selling your stocks as soon as you buy them on our Beer Stock Market.
- You can sell them on eBay, SitePoint, or any other marketplace, we don't control how or where you sell them.
- You can use our Wiki editor to promote your blog, website, business, services, or products by completely customizing your Beer Stocks.
- You can also embed your blog, e-store, or any other website into the Beer Stocks and benefit from the share of our webtraffic. More Traffic = More Profits for you
Why would people buy these Beer Stocks?
- Each Beer Stock gets a "share" of our total web traffic. This can be very valuable to any blog/website owner.
- As the number of our web traffic grows, each Beer Stock will get more and more traffic, adding to the value of it.
- Each Beer Stock can be used just like the "free traffic" service we provide through our Beer Credits, except its like having unlimited Beer Credits.
How does the stock prices rise?
There are 3 ways in which the Beer Stocks can rise in value.
- Sell your Beer Stocks to buyers on the Beer Stock Market at prices higher than you've paid for. (Buy Low, Sell High)
- As traffic builds on the website itself, each Beer Stock will rise in value, however much traffic that stock gets. For example, if you have 30,000 visitors to your Beer Stock daily (maybe 3 years later), that could be worth around 5 figures.
- We will steadily increase the market price, which will send buyers to buy from private sellers at the Beer Stock Market.
Who decides on the stock prices?
The SiteHoppin Developers will decide on the stock prices, sorta like Alan Greenspan.
Basically, the SiteHoppin Developers are in charge of keeping the overall Beer Stock Market stable. We set the prices to protect against inflation and deflation.
- If our web traffic increases, we will probably raise the prices.
- If our web traffi decreases or the number of Beer Stocks sold increases, we will probably lower the prices.
- Stock prices will never fall below $10 per vowel and $1 per non-vowel, which is our initial offering price.
Why does this work?
We are giving every internet user an opportunity to be part of the very first IUVC, Internet User Venture Capital.
We've combined the best of Venture Capital and IPOs and handed them to you, the internet user.
The Beer Stocks are similar to VCs in that anyone with money can invest in our company but it doesn't have to be millions of dollars, it can be as little as a dollar for a letter.
The Beer Stocks are similar to IPOs in that we are offering each Beer Stock as the lowest possible price it will ever be.
With a Beer Stock Market in place and steady growth of web traffic consisting of random visitors from all over the world, there will always be an active Stock Market where buyers and seller are constantly trading stocks.
Example
Let's say you bought 10 Beer Stocks today for an average price of $20 per Beer Stock, that's $200 you invested today.
6 months later, we raise the price of Beer Stocks. So to get the same amount of Beer Stocks, it would cost others 5 times more, which is $1,000.
That means you can sell your 10 Beer Stocks that you've kept for 6 months for at least half of the current market price, which is $500. You just made over 100% in profits!
What I can I do with my Beer Stocks?
You have several options:
- Use our built-in dashboard to embed your website and get free share of our total web traffic.
- Edit the Beer Stocks using our WIki editor and completely customize it. You can advertise your website, services, or products and gain continuous growth of online exposure.
What are you going to do with the money invested?
- Get more servers, (right now we are over 90% capacity with just 1 dedicated server).
- Advertise to grow our web traffic.
- Our growth potential is only limited by the number of servers and how effectively we can advertise.
(The site is built on MediaWiki, the same software to power one of the largest websites on the internet, Wikipedia.)
- Hire more developers.
- Pay for any other operating costs.
It's a on-going cycle of your Investment -> Advertising/Operating -> Web Traffic Growth -> Our Site/Your Beer Stocks gaining more monetary value.
