SiteHoppin' is a site that allows you to "site hop", just like you'd "bar hop". We strongly suggest to always have a bottle of fresh, cold beer when using this site.

What does SiteHoppin' run on?
SiteHoppin' is a social networking/bookmarking site based on the MediaWiki, which is also used to power Wikipedia, the largest online encyclopedia.
It basically runs on MediaWiki except our programmers hacked it with about 100,000 lines of code during the last couple months of beta testing.
The Beer Algorithm
SiteHoppin' has it's own algorithm similar to Google's PageRank to only hop the best sites. You can read more about the Beer Algorithm here.
How did you guys come up with SiteHoppin'?
Well, honestly, we were having too many beers one night and started messing with MediaWiki and hacking the crap out of it. While experimenting, we decided that the Internet users needed an easier way of browsing.
We first looked at http://Stumbleupon.com and http://del.icio.us and figured it might be a good idea to make a customized wiki mashup of the two. (It's still in LIVE development)
So instead of typing URLs on your browser or searching for interesting sites on Google or Yahoo, you can simply press the "SiteHoppin" button to find interesting sites.
Now we even have the SlideShow mode, allowing you to surf the internet similar to an iPod, except you are shuffling sites, not music.

Do you guys offer technical support?
Yes, please use our forum to post your questions or any problems you might have.
Do you guys actually drink a lot of beer?
Yes, we actually drink on the job and work out of our 800 square feet apartment.
If you find bugs on our site, it's probably due to our "drunkenness" that we forgot a piece of code somewhere. Please do post them on the forum and we will get them fixed.
We are probably the only company in San Francisco where people are encouraged to get super drunk before starting any work. We don't even have real offices. We rent high-rise apartments so we can setup our office like our home.
We currently have a 42" HDTV, IKEA furniture, Playstation 2 (until we can afford a Wii or PS3), and some other goodies that help us relax. We feel our programmers become more creative in a drunken environment like this.
On the bright side, we do drink moderately and we firmly believe that it helps us program and hack better.
