The beer credit system has been updated a little bit to bring you more quality traffic.

Two changes we made after reading some suggestions by Alex from Net-Entrepreneur.com:
(It’s actually the first constructive criticism we’ve received so far, but those changes we made just made your Beer Credits worth more!)

1) We were too drunk and didn’t think about “self-hoppin” your own Hop URL. Anyways, now this has been fixed, as long as you are logged in, you won’t hop to your own Hop URLs.

2) Users can only hop to other users’ Hop URLs once a day. This way, you only visit those blogs once a day and this probably looks better on your stats too.

3) We are trying to make the “Limit” functionality and ability to put multiple Hop URLs. Any suggestions appreciated.

The hops you get now are each “unique” visitors since a user can only hop once to your Hop URL.
(Hey thanks Alex! That just brought the value of Beer Credits by 10 fold!)

Unlike other traffic systems that give you “impressions”, we are now officially giving you “unique visitors” for your beer credits.

BUT, if a user is not logged in, you might get multiple “hits”. We are gonna fix this soon too to give you “unique” visitors (1 per IP address per 1 hour) soon as we start programming again.

Other than that, we got really really drunk last night thanks to donations from Mike and Scott last night. Video being edited and uploaded soon…

P.S. We are going to maybe change the number of credits you can win on King Of Hops. Why? It seems like we have to carefully monitor the number of hops in the system vs. the number of Beer Credits. Otherwise, as Big Pappa pointed out (thank you), our Beer Credits will be devalued. So, we might actually use an algorithm to award the maximum number of Beer Credits that can be given out based on the moving average of Daily Hops. So one day, you can win 5,000 BCs and one day you could win 2,000 BCs. It will all depend on the new King Of Hops Algorithm.
