Hi everybody,
We just finished making the Beer Widgets.
There’s two types of widgets available. We made a 127×148 pixel ad for those of you Entrecard users who want to make it fit along with Entrecard widgets.
You can also use the 125×125 pixel ad too.
Basically, you get 50 Beer Credits if anyone clicks through the widget to SiteHoppin.
You can use those 50 Beer Credits to get 5 unique visitors to your site.
And when they do click through to SiteHoppin, they own’t simply randomly hop, they will hop to one of your Ad URLs. (So you start using up more of your Beer Credits and get quality visitors from each others blogs.)
If you are gonna try to test it, try logging out first and also clearing your cache.
It’s still really beta and we don’t know how we drunkards even coded this…
Anyways, video update of this will be done tonight while we get drunk and let’s celebrate!
Oh yeah, you might not be able to click on “User Code” page on your user if I haven’t got to it. I am in the process of editing everyone’s pages right now but if you want to get the Beer Widget earlier just leave a comment with your username here.
Update: Beer Widget Code can be found on your user page. (Click on your username on the upper right hand corner)
Here’s some tips on putting the Beer Widget right next to Entrecard also.

Oh yeah, we are giving out free 125×125 pixel rotating ads (where I put three of my sites right now, zedomax.com, onebuckwiki.com, and quarterwiki.com) to the first 50 people who put our Beer Widget above the fold(within 1000 pixels from top of your website). Put that Beer Widget on and leave a comment and send us your 125×125 pixel to sitehoppers [at] sitehoppin.com The first 50 commentators on this post will get “lifetime” Do-Follow 125×125 pixel ads on our sidebar so long as you have our widget up.

Hey, I always wondered when I was gonna actually sign up, guess today was the day. I got the code above the fold, but for some reason, I can’t get the 127×148 widget to sit side-by-side with my Entrecard widget. The 125×125 works perfectly but looks kinda dinky without the bottom part…
I tried widening my sidebar by a full 10 pixels and everything, so I dunno. I’ll keep trying, and if you have any ideas off the top of your head, that’d be great. Hopefully I’m still in the first 50 so I can get that lifetime ad. I’ll email the .jpg just in case.

I did get it to work over at http://bedzine.com/blog but it’s kinda complicated and involves some CSS.
Let me see if I can make some changes to the current code and make it work automatically.

After accidentally finding that code this morning, I worked with it for a while and still couldn’t get it to work - my EC was either floating in the middle of my posts or (if I shifted the bottom up to line the two up) there was a bunch of empty space below them.
I eventually started doing some searches and found some simple table code that worked immediately! So I’m happy to share it with you guys and anyone else that might be having this issue. I found the code here: http://codepunk.hardwar.org.uk/ahtml07.htm
I simply took out the spanning part and modified the width numbers, etc, to match my sidebar, ending up with something like this:

I took out my code to avoid potential confusion.

By the way, I wish there was a better way to STOP the site hopping when in ’slideshow’ mode. I often find a site that interests me, and I want to stay and read it, but I can’t get the site hopping to stop so that I can stay on that site.

Oh yeah, you can press the “Stop” button, same as “Play” button to stop the slideshow mode. If you have problems, let me know what browser you are using and I can take a look.
