High Scalability and SH Firefox Toolbar coming soon…

Click Here to View in Full Screen Mode

Hi y’all,

Wanna thank every Beer Stock investor first and all, and we are working like horse in the background to bring you “high scalability” so we can handle more traffic and your Beer Stock value goes up. Although we are 25% drunk over here most of the time, we are probably 25% smarter than most other Web2.0 companies out there so watch the vid to see what is comin’ up.

Oh yeah, we are finally goin’ corporate, we are still deciding between LLC, C or S corp, any suggestions appreciated and we are also going to let you guys “invest” in our real stocks if you are interested. E-mail us at sitehoppers [at] sitehoppin.com if you want to invest in some “real” stocks. The name of the company will be “Zedomax”, which is a company I started when I was 9 years old, simply haven’t done the paper work yet. Basically it will be the company behind SiteHoppin and all the other websites we run.

And Kent, your video is coming up soon. Yes, Shawn, I need to visit that Lazy Harry’s one day, do you guys have prime rib steaks?

Lol… and yes, the biggest secret about to be POOPED out of our system, the SH Firefox Toolbar baby! No more iframes, just simply plain old good traffic for all of you who been complain’ of iframes. :)

Cheers~

P.S. Yes, you better stock up on those Beer stocks while we are building the new SH toolbar, it’s gonna mean some serious “Free” traffic for your blog or website.

P.S.2 - We should be ready to handle from 1 million hits to 20 million hits per day within the next week or so as we convert all our custom code into some really shnazzy great “Memcached” code.

Max,
You guys rock! Sucks to hear about getting stuck in traffic! The memcache idea sounds like a good one, building highly scalable sites definitely introduces new complexities in building software. Keep drinkin’ and cooking good food and let the new ideas flow.

An LLC might offer you a little more protection. Plus it all depends on what kinda taxes you want to pay. I run my businesses on LLC. Which the way it was explained to me is a lot eaiser and safer. I still dont know lol. Just what I was told so I did it.

Hey thanks Jason, yes, I am really leaning towards an LLC at this point, sounds like an easier coporate structure to deal with.

Max,
Check out 101incorporate.com

I’ve used it to setup LLC’s and S-Corp’s in the past. Its a cheaper way to go than having a lawyer do it if you know what you’re getting into.

And check this out to for a good quick comparison of entity types:
http://www.themoneyalert.com/Corp-Entity-Table.html

Depending on how many other people you have involved, an S-Corp might be the best way to go. I think it’d be easier for you to sell shares in sitehoppin down the road.

hey good stuff Tim, I did use such sites before, I might be even doing all the paperwork myself this time to save even more money. You know, I am on chapter 2 of How to Incorporate, well, take a look at my next video.

Max,

I don’t use the Stumble Upon Tool Bar though I have Alexa Tool Bar and Search Status Extension installed.

Does this mean that the new Site Hoppin Tool Bar will cause my browser’s viewing area to be lesser?

Oh, by the way, what happened to the no follow links in our names when we comment?

well, it’s an option for users who want the toolbar. I personally prefer the web version but having an extra toolbar option is not a bad thing.

Yeah, let me check on the no follow, it should all be “follows”…

Hey thanks Sksee! Let me donate more Beer Credits you can give out. Maybe you can change 200 to 2000 if you want.

Max, I thought you were goin to scape the Browser-within-browser function when you said no more iframes. I initially wrote that the toolbar will be replacing the BWB, now I’ve made the necessary correction. Phew…

Yeah, i think we do still have to keep the Browser-within-Browser for all those people on Safari or iPhones. A big crowd of people especially if iPhone users start pickin’ up some fire later down the road.

Max,

I mean I can’t click on a commentators name anymore to visit their sites / blogs etc. What’s up with that aye? -_-

Oh by the way, Max, what are the differences for buying a simple Beer Stock word i.e. A, B, C, D, E, F … versus buying complete words i.e. Malaysia, Games, Blogging, Kong … etc

Comment by Site Hoppers
2008-04-06 08:43:07

Yeah, let me fix that soon.

Well, there two ways your stocks can rise in value:

1) As # of total web traffic grows
2) As the site gets older, each Beer Stock page will gain in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) value and also increase in PageRank. For letters like a,b,c,d, that’s going to be very hard to gain in terms of SEO and PageRank, whereas popular keywords such as Business or Blogs, will probably gain a lot more. (Thus getting more traffic from natural search terms too)

Wanted to say the same thing like what Max just mentioned with regards to the keywords, but I guess I’m not the right person to give the answers to Deimos.

Max, sksee,

Thanks for the info yo! :D

Okay, in terms of SEO value, single character Beer Words ain’t gonna have any, right?

But in terms of trafficking, it still works, right? ;)

for sheezy, you got it right. For short term, single words are great, for long term, better to go with a good keyword.

Max,

So basically it is like this aye?
Single character words = Cheap, for purpose of trafficking
Multiple character words = Not cheap, for purpose of investment

Am I right with that? :D

Greetings Deimos, if you intend to invest on the long run, why not purchase keywords that are significant instead of single character words. If you believe SiteHoppin has the potential to expand succesfully why not get keywords with SEO values? I believe you’ll have a better ROI if you intend to sell your keywords later.

By the way Deimos, I wanted the “Malaysia” keyword, looks like you got there first before me. I’ll have to be contented with the “Malaysian” keyword instead.

skee,

Well, I prefer to have both cheap and non-cheap Beer Stocks, their purpose I mentioned above. ;)

Cheap Beer Stocks, I would not sell, for the purpose of trafficking.

Not-Cheap Beer Stocks, sell if the price is right. :D

Haha! Beat ya to that one! :p
