I’ve like to announce that my financial situation (as you well know I have been broke during most of development of this site and had 40K of debt with maxed out credit cards and no income coming in).

To keep myself from going bankrupt, I’ve had to do a LOT of thinking and SiteHoppin simply wasn’t a great business model.

Anyways, I even owe some money to affiliates who have earned their money.

The good news is that I have been working my ass off and finally started making money on blogs and random jobs such as making E-commerce sites, blogs, and other cool Web2.0+ stuff for friends and family who needed my help.

All affiliates will be given their commission real soon here, I will also need to fix some coding changes to report affiliates based on monthly basis.

Plus, since I have not paid for your commissions, I will pay an extra 10% interest on all your commissions.

In the future, we will also set the minimum payout for commissions to $100, it simply doesn’t make sense to pay affiliates $1 via paypal and then get 70 cents.  (That’s just too much work for me and plus not enough incentive for affiliates to get to the first $100)

(Please also note that I have been paying about $400/month on a quad-CPU server to keep this site running this far, I wouldn’t do that unless I had long term plans)

I am deeply sorry again for not paying for those commissions on time, I simply couldn’t do it since this site wasn’t making money and I had to resort to other methods such as optimizing blogs and making money off AdSense.

I will also re-branding SiteHoppin as a “search” engine instead of just the SiteHoppin Toolbar.

The Toolbar will of course be always available and updated with “search” emphasis.

Thanks to those supporters out there as always, I will be re-inventing SiteHoppin as a domain search engine and submit new domains.

Plus, you Beer Stock owners will benefit greatly as we build this new SiteHoppin search engine.
(For example, you type “Beer” on the search engine and it will go to your Beer Stock Page directly.)

As far as advertising, we will start implementing Google Adsense and Chitika using the blog marketing methods I have learned while SiteHoppin was in hibernation.

Plus, we will be getting rid of “beer” and any alcoholic-related associations with SiteHoppin.  It’s simply not a great idea for promoting a business that can grow big unless our goal was only to sell beers in the long run.  If we simply didn’t have “beer” in our business model, we could be making about $50/day on search traffic even as we speak now with AdSense.

I still have a bunch of projects to do until end of this month so after that, I will be implementing some great changes that will benefit both you by bringing more web traffic and search traffic.

I will still be getting drunk as hell behind the scenes, I’ve simply decided not to put the “beer” in the videos for branding purposes.

Plus, my dad, who is also an international entrepreneur, is really getting on my case about having my drunken videos online.

I hope you all understand my new decision to brand more sober SiteHoppin.

Heck, I am glad this site still gets a good 2000-3000 unique visitors per day during hibernation.  That’s something that we can build on and make a lot of money instead of starting from scratch.

Well, it’s already 4AM here, I have another E-store project due tomorrow so I can finally pay your commissions and pay bills too.

I’d like to also shout out to Josh at Unconventional Marketing, he’s really been the force and my business partner for SiteHoppin.

Eventually, we will also have the whole SiteHoppin code available as open source and contribute my knowledge back to the community under GPL license.
